I'm convinced that the magnet is attached to close to the ball: Increasing the distance will decrease the attraction between the ball and the magnet, so the ball would become "lighter" and will slide on the sand instead of crushing it.

And when they were all done, and showed the community the art for like a few days, they also decided to undo all their art… put the colored sand into a pail… And pour the sand into a river with prayers to bless the city. True story!

Funny story my dad’s grandparents bought a whole ass laser cutter for my cousin while they got me a 25$ target gift cards or Christmas ...... we are the same age and both visit frequently it’s just that my mom devorced my dad because he CHEATED :)

The skateboard project. I’d love to see you implement one on a manual wheelchair without permanently modifying the chair. It would need a way to steer and accelerate and brake. I’ve even thought about using one of the electric scooters that have the battery in the steering stem and the motor on the front wheel. I could then cut most of the back half off and figure out a way to have it quick connect/disconnect and lift the front wheels off the ground (just slightly) while being used. Current options tend to be a bit expensive and the power chairs are pricey and require a solution for loading it in a vehicle. The could just pop off and store easy along side however a person loads/carries the manual chair normally.

The Delta printer version would actually be awesome. Do it with each of the three arms really long that way you can watch it move better. Then your table would have 2 moving art pieces working together. If you could do something like sync the movement to music or the second hand of a clock.... I would love to make/buy one if I had the income to spare.
