@DemolitionRanch, so what is happening is that when the bullet hits the glass, it sends shockwaves around the sphere, when those shockwaves hit on the opposite die, they cause the crack since they cant bounce off each other due to the rigidity of the object at hand.

The reason that the back side of it is cracked with no impact through the middle is because the force of the bullet hitting the glass ball is so massive that it puts pressure through the ball and then cracks the other side

The Ripple effect is caused by the kinetic energy released from the built hitting the glass. That energy travels threw the glass because its solid i am unsure how you could not understand that.

My hypothesis is that the glass shpere act like a lens for shockwaves, so when a bullet hits the surface it produces a shockwave that travel through the glass but then it get focused on the opposite point of the sphere breaking it. It's really interesting.

So glass is basically really viscous liquid, and liquids have a property where each point on surface is exerts equal amount of pressure, so when the bullet hits one side, that pressure is transferred directly to the line along the bullet's trajectory, as it's so fast and then knock a piece from there. It's basically like shooting at a really dense column of water and seeing splashes on the other side
