Ross gets a lot of stuck for being an absent father. the thing is Ben was never very funny, the writers quickly dropped him. But going by a few references and how comfortable he is around Ross friends on his few appearances we can assume Ross was seeing Ben a lot between episodes.

The actual reason Chandler said “where” at the end is due to the fact that the set of Central Perk was destroyed to build the airport for the end of season 10. Therefore, there was no Central Perk anymore, resulting in him asking where they should have their coffee. 🤷🏽‍♀️
